First Aid Courses
First Aid at Work
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace, this three-day qualification will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
First Aid at Work (Requalification)
This two-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire, and meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Emergency First Aid at Work
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Activity First Aid
Specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure and recreation. Not only is Basic Life Support included, but many other First Aid conditions are also included, making this qualification very comprehensive. This Level 3 qualification is made up of two units including First Aid Essentials.
First Aid at Work Annual Refresher
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed.
This three hour annual refresher course has been designed to meet that requirement and will help First Aiders to maintain their skills and knowledge whilst also keeping up-to-date with any changes to protocols.
Mental Health First Aid Courses
Half-Day Awareness Course
Available as either a Mental Health First Aid England registered course, or a NUCO OfQual regulated course, this course is suitable for everyone within a workplace as it provides learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions as well as the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help.
One-Day Mental Health First Aid Course
Available as either a Mental Health First Aid England Champions course, or a NUCO OfQual regulated course, this course covers the content of the Awareness course but also incorporates a Mental Health First Aid action plan, and covers other ways to support positive mental health within an organisation.
Two-Day Mental Health First Aid Course
Available as either a Mental Health First Aid England registered course, or a NUCO OfQual regulated course, this course covers mental health conditions in more depth than the one-day course, gives learners more time to practise the Mental Health First Aid action plan, and helps to embed a positive mental health culture within an organisation.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid
This one-day level 3 first aid course is designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED, and covers all that is needed for someone to provide emergency first aid support in a workplace (or domestic) setting until professional help arrives.
Paediatric First Aid
This two-day level 3 first aid course is designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED, and covers all that is needed for someone to provide emergency first aid support in a workplace (or domestic) setting until professional help arrives, and also deals with a range of paediatric first aid situations.
First Aid for Schools
This course is designed for teachers and school staff who may be required to provide first aid to children and adults, and is accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB).
First Aid for Youth Mental Health
This one-day qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults.
Other Emergency Aid Courses
Airway Management
This three-hour course will equip learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise on how to manage a casualty’s airway in the event of an emergency. The course is suitable for first aiders, prehospital care providers and those working in high risk environments.
Anaphylaxis
This training is for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders to enable them to recognise and treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively. This course is suitable for all First Aiders and healthcare professionals, as well as those in a high risk environment where such medication is available.
Basic Life Support
This regulated Level 2 Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills, knowledge and practical competence to administer first aid until professional medical help arrives. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Basic Life Support (non-regulated)
This four-hour Basic Life Support awareness course is suitable for anyone looking to gain basic first aid knowledge and skills. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Basic Life Support and the safe use of an AED
Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. This very practical course will enable your learners to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but it also includes vital training in basic life support including resuscitation.
Forestry First Aid
This qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and competence for a learner to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural environment. This qualification is designed to supplement a First Aider’s existing First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and covers the recommended topics stated in the Forestry Commission First Aid policy 2015.
Oxygen Therapy
This course is suitable for qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, dental practitioners and dental care professionals, nurses, healthcare professionals and others working in an environment where oxygen is available for casualty welfare.
