Dean Russell MP is today reintroducing the Bill to give Mental Health First Aid parity of esteem with physical first aid in the workplace. The Health & Safety Executive already suggest that employers consider mental health when carrying out first aid risk assessments. Once passed, this law will ensure that businesses also provide first aid cover in the same way that they have to train adequate numbers in topics such as First Aid at Work. The second reading is due to take place on 24th February 2023.
