AJ, the founder and lead trainer of AJMH Limited doesn’t only teach Mental Health First Aid! He also teaches physical first aid courses on behalf of local charity Safety Centre (Hazard Alley) Limited. Yesterday saw him teach Schools First Aid to an enthusiastic bunch of learners at Green Park School in Newport Pagnell!

It was great to have the opportunity to run another half-day Mental Health Awareness course at YourCash UK & Ireland in Milton Keynes yesterday. Brilliant to spend time with a really engaged and chatty group! Thanks to everyone at Your Cash for making me feel so welcome.

Dr AJ ran a two-day Mental Health First Aid course at Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre in Milton Keynes at the start of the week. Dr AJ has spent the weekend at this event held by Confer at NCVO alongside the lovely Regent’s Canal in London. It was a great opportunity to network with a fascinating group of people, whilst a range of inspirational speakers have given him plenty of ideas on improving practice to feedback to his students!

Great to support Worktree this evening with their quiz night to help raise awareness and funding. Spending time and having fun with friends was also good for boosting the mental health, whilst coming joint first in the quiz was just the cherry on the cake! Image courtesy of Worktree.

Today is Time to Change‘s Time to Talk Day, which is designed to encourage people to talk about mental health and help change lives. In reality, people should be able to find time to talk about mental health and mental health issues every day, but not everyone has the confidence to do so. Mental Health
