The one-day Mental Health First Aid Champion course was the last of Mental Health First Aid England‘s Adult Mental Health courses to be made available online. The new online version has now been approved by MHFA England – a list of upcoming courses can be viewed on our Course Booking page.

It was great to be asked to take part in a live webinar with Paul Green from The Business Community earlier today. We discussed a number of topics around mental health and well-being – if you missed it, click to watch the recording.

As we get to the end of a year that has been (for many people) the most unusual and traumatic of times, everyone at AJMH Limited hopes that you have a safe & happy time over this festive period, and wishes you good physical & mental health for 2021.

As the nights draw in and the days are colder, our thoughts are turning to next year’s training programme. Despite the news of an imminent vaccine for COVID-19, we are currently looking to keep training online until it is clear that face-to-face training can safely be resumed. The four-hour Mental Health Awareness course has always been popular, but today was the first opportunity to run it as an online course. The content lends itself to being delivered remotely, and today’s students proved to be a really engaged group who were a joy to teach! Kudos to Homebase, Bletchley Park, Small Business Web

It was a pleasure for AJ to be able to return to teaching First Aid at Work for local charity The Safety Centre (Milton Keynes) last week. The team worked really hard to provide a safe environment, which was reflected in the feedback from the students!

As more MHFA England courses are expanding to be delivered online, it was great to run a Mental Health First Aid Refresher course this morning. We love the personal interaction of face-to-face teaching, but the online Mental Health First Aid courses are a fantastic resource to have in these unprecedented times – being able to recognise when someone is in distress, provide initial support, and signpost to appropriate professional help are skills which are more important than ever. These courses
